Ondo Global Markets goes live on Blockchain.com on Oct. 20, allowing non-U.S. users of the self-custody wallet to gain exposure to over 100 tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Launched by Ondo Finance and the Ondo Foundation, Ondo Global Markets is a tokenization platform designed to provide on-chain exposure to publicly traded securities.

Tokenization is the process of representing assets like stocks, funds, etc. as digital tokens and offering fractional ownership of these assets to investors. Besides digitizing the traditional finance (TradFi) market, it enables 24/7 on-chain trading and makes assets more affordable due to fractional offerings.
Thanks to tokenization, Ondo Global Markets offers investors outside the U.S. exposure to U.S. publicly traded securities, including stocks and ETFs.

The goal of Ondo Global Markets is to dismantle these barriers, the statement read. Hundreds of tokenized assets are expected to be added to Ondo Global Markets by the end of the year, cementing its status as one of the most comprehensive platforms offering American capital markets on-chain.
Ondo has a dynamic pricing model for its tokenized offerings as it directly interacts with traditional exchanges, thereby upholding price transparency and improved liquidity as compared to previous tokenization models.
In addition, Ondo’s products are interoperable which means its tokenized offerings are compatible with different supported wallets, exchanges, and DeFi protocols. The infrastructure paves the way for composability, automation, and integration into the wider crypto economy, aligning tokenized assets with the vision of an open, accessible financial ecosystem.
